Look, I actually have a desk now

Okay, this is some really old news, but I really wanted to get the entertainment center out of my room because it took up too much space, so I couldn't really fit a desk or any chairs in there. I ended up making this agreement with my parents that if I took it down and cleaned off the desk in the living room, I could move the desk and the chair into my room.

I took the whole thing down in two days.

Lesson learned: persistence is awesome
...and never let a board covered in nails fall on you. Ever.

My organizational skills are still horrible, sadly.

Generic Yearly Life Update

It's not, like, terribly unusual for me to disappear for months \ years at a time on here, but I thought I'd give at least a little update as to what I've been doing and what I have NOT been doing because I don't really want to leave anyone hanging, in the event that anyone has been keeping up with my posts.

Fixing .freq Maps

Okay. I know I probably haven't actually contributed to the UTAU community much, but I know that at least sometimes my curiosity can truly do something good. So, I made a new UTAU. Several of them, actually. One of them was recorded by a two-year-old girl, which makes it pretty obvious why I would need to go in and edit the .freq files in the editor because just regenerating them really didn't get me anywhere. With one of the ones I recorded, I actually have problems with certain consonants making my voice squeak, thus completely ruining the quality of the vowels. ALL OF THEM. To fix my problem of not knowing what in the world I was supposed to do in the editor, I turned to the Internet. That was about equally as useful as asking a rock for information would be, so I just tried some stuff until I got the hang of what I was doing. Now onto the actual tutorial! Works best with TIPS and most WORLD-flavored resamplers. Many known issues in recordings -- recorded in under 10 minutes probably. No audio samples we die like men.
