I'm pretty spread out on the web at this point because I've been trying to keep up with so many communities and so many people, it's a lot easier to link to a singular blog post than to attempt to shorten all the urls down to fit in every bio on every site ever.

This is a pretty WIP page rn so sorry about that. I haphazardly use like a different set of social media every week and forget about the other few for a few months, except Twitter jdsfklsdj. I'll update this as I remember.

Fixing .freq Maps

Okay. I know I probably haven't actually contributed to the UTAU community much, but I know that at least sometimes my curiosity can truly do something good. So, I made a new UTAU. Several of them, actually. One of them was recorded by a two-year-old girl, which makes it pretty obvious why I would need to go in and edit the .freq files in the editor because just regenerating them really didn't get me anywhere. With one of the ones I recorded, I actually have problems with certain consonants making my voice squeak, thus completely ruining the quality of the vowels. ALL OF THEM. To fix my problem of not knowing what in the world I was supposed to do in the editor, I turned to the Internet. That was about equally as useful as asking a rock for information would be, so I just tried some stuff until I got the hang of what I was doing. Now onto the actual tutorial! Works best with TIPS and most WORLD-flavored resamplers. Many known issues in recordings -- recorded in under 10 minutes probably. No audio samples we die like men. Also I'm in the middle of doing some finalization of that dumbshit 5 pitch voicebank or whatever, and more reclist testing (english stuff ya know), I promise I didn't die, just really busy. Byeee

I moved!!

I completely forgot to post about this. I've gotten kinda sick of this platform over the years and wanted to move to something that was more in line with my workflow, so I just made my own website and now I'm posting at 444631.xyz . I started this blog back in 2012 when I was a teenager. I'm almost 27 now, and a lot of things have changed since then. I think the only thing that definitely hasn't is I still love yapping, probably even more than I did back then. That being said, I'm not really doing any of the same stuff I was before (kinda), aside from, like, stuff with audio software. I can't remember if I ever posted about it here, but I'd made a text-to-speech engine and a really simple pure Lua audio library so I could concatenate audio samples or whatever, and I somehow misplaced the text-to-speech engine part of it... but not the audio library part, so I've just kinda been building onto it and making it better for fun whenever I don't have anyth...
